Advisors Assistant offers different solutions to help you move toward the Paperless Office, including Imaging Assistant™, Advisors Assistant's scanning module.

With Advisors Assistant you have two options to help you move toward the Paperless Office:

  • You can scan client files using your scanner software into a Windows folder, and then link the files to your client in Advisors Assistant. This option comes standard with Advisors Assistant.
  • Imaging Assistant™ streamlines the process above and saves you lots of time. Imaging Assistant™ automatically scans and links the files to your client in Advisors Assistant in one easy step.

    Imaging Assistant 6 Introductory Pricing is just $399 for a single user and $59 for each additional user on a Network or MultiProducer system.

You must have the same number of Imaging Assistant™ users as your Advisors Assistant®.

Imaging Assistant Minimum Hardware Requirements

Imaging Assistant™ is a Document Management System that works seamlessly with Advisors Assistant.

The computer used to store the documents with Imaging Assistant™ is called the Document Server. We highly recommend that the Document Server be a stand-alone computer which is not used by other network users. This maintains the integrity and security of your documents and images, which is why we highly recommend the Document Server be dedicated to the important task of document storage.

If your document server is a computer used daily for other work, just be aware that this can affect the performance of the computer being used. And once you start scanning documents they can take up a lot of space on the hard drive. So if you don’t use a dedicated Document Server the space on that computer will be taken up much more quickly.

Imaging Assistant™ works with most scanners as long as they have a Twain driver. The scanner is not included.

Document Server

  • Windows XP Professional SP3 or Vista Business or better operating system
  • 1 GHZ processor or faster
  • 2 GB RAM
  • 60 GB Free Disk Space or greater for document storage. The more the better.
  • DVD drive with Write capability for Off Site backup.
  • Document storage should be set up on a drive other than the C Drive.

Workstation Computers

  • 500 Mhz Pentium III or better with 1 GB free disk space
  • Minimum 1 GB RAM
  • Windows XP SP2 or better
